CHEDRO 10 held the Strategic Planning and Honoring of Dr. Salud L. Algodon, Retiree, last January 16, 2009, 8:00a.m.-5:00p.m. at the Philtown Hotel and Restaurant, Cagayan de Oro City.
This was participated in by the officers and employees of CHEDRO 10.
During the Opening Program, Dr. Zenaida G, Gersana, Chief Education Program Specialist, delivered her Welcome Remarks which was followed by the message given by Dr. Eloisa W. Paderanga, CHEDRO 10 Regional Director.
Then the Planning Officer Designated Juanito R. Demetrio made a presentation of CHEDRO 10 Accomplishments using the 2008 Action Plan Format (based on the Major Final Output as Prescribed by DBM/NEDA and submitted to CHED Central Office). The presentation showed that CHEDRO 10 has exceeded the targets set for 2008. A discussion on what are the things to do to still improve the performance for 2009 ensued. This was done by identifying the best practices or factors that contributed to the success of CHEDRO 10 in 2008. Also included in the discussion were the issues and concerns that emerged in 2008. These best practices will be duplicated in 2009 to ensure the accomplishment of set targets and objectives.
The first part of the afternoon session was dedicated to the honoring of Dr. Salud L. Algodon, retiree. This was done by giving tributes to the honoree undertaken by Roy Roque U. Agcopra, Chief Administrator Officer; and, ES II Natalie T. Igot. Director Paderanga, CEPS Dr. Gersana and CAO Mr. Agcopra then presented conferred on Dr. Algodon the Service Award. Some CHEDRO 10 employees handed in their gifts during the gift giving portion and some expressed their memorable moments with Dr. Algodon at the workplace. The group then sang some meaningful songs during the Harana part of the program.
The rest of the day was spent on preparing the individual Action Plan for 2009 for consolidation.
